APPLICATIONS OF 1-BROMO-2-BUTYNE

1-Bromo-2-butyne is a key intermediate in the synthesis of linagliptin, a drug used in the treatment of diabetes. Also, axially chiral teranyl compounds can be prepared from 1-bromo-2-butyne. It is also utilized as a substrate for cycloaddition reactions to access cyclic ring compounds. Furthermore, 1-bromo-2-butyne allows access to a variety of alkynyl organometallic reagents.
